MedAire Marks 25 Years with Global Expansion, Increased Local Support

PHOENIX, Ariz. – April 30, 2010 – MedAire (www.medaire.com), the aviation and maritime medical services company, marks its 25-year anniversary of protecting and saving lives at sea, in the air and on the ground by further enhancing local client support with global expansion efforts.
“’Expert Care, Everywhere,’ the company’s tagline, truly states our essence and our mission to our clients,” says MedAire Worldwide CEO Grant Jeffery.
Twenty-five years later, MedAire has expanded from the United States to operate on a global basis with locations in Singapore, United Kingdom, France, Hong Kong and Switzerland—with more locations on the way. A key part of MedAire’s expansion strategy is to align with the growth of aviation and maritime markets in Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, as well as Central and Eastern Europe.
“MedAire operates within two focused markets—aviation and maritime—within International SOS’ family of global companies, all of which share a common sense of purpose: to help others,” explains Jeffery. “As the specialist in these core markets, we ensure leadership through activities such as product research and development, while the global infrastructure of International SOS offers breadth in capability and resources, ensuring we deliver the highest levels of client service.”
The company’s end users—largely crew working on ships and planes, and their guests—now have access to training from more than 60 MedAire medical instructors living in more than 15 countries. And, when medical care is needed during their travels, clients rely upon MedAire’s 60,000 credentialed providers throughout the world.
