The inaugural Yachting Pages Sunset Lounge took place last Friday 18th June in Palma to mark the launch of Yachting Pages 2010-11.

Hundreds of superyacht captains and industry professionals attended the event, which took place at the Mood Beach Club, Puerto Portals. The venue provided the perfect surroundings for the launch party overlooking the superyachts of Puerto Portals.

The candle-lit private beach bar hosted drinks, music and entertainment until the small hours. Guests were welcomed with champagne cocktails on arrival and were later served mojitos from the Appleton Mojito bar. The lively Cuban band provided hours of entertainment and there was even a spectacular fire show half way through the evening. A BBQ with a hog roast complete with salads, risotto and much more was available at the Oasis beach area. Later on in the evening guests headed up to the nightclub for drinks by the pool and a salsa night.

Around 300 guests from the superyacht industry attended the Sunset Lounge, with 30% of guests from superyachts, including the world’s largest sailing yacht the Maltese Falcon and the 119m M/Y A.

Jack Robinson, Business Development Manager, who oversees all Yachting Pages events enthused,

The first Yachting Pages Sunset Lounge in Palma couldn’t have gone better. The venue was perfect, and guests came from all over the Mediterranean to attend. We are already looking forward to next year.”

Yachting Pages would like to thank their sponsors for making this event such a resounding success.
