Reports have emerged that the 164m superyacht support vessel, Fulk Al Salamah has been delivered to Oman by yacht builder, Mariotti Yachts.
Very few details are known about the vessel, which was first announced in 2014 under the name Project Saffron. Her estimated overall length is gathered from AIS data, and according to reports from Boat International, she is believed to have a beam of 28m and total interior volume of 11,000gt. This makes her the world’s largest superyacht support vessel.
As seen in the latest images, Fulk Al Salamah has a large helideck on board, with raked masts and a bathing platform. The assumption of her use as a support vessel is due to a lack of exterior space on board.
Fulk Al Salamah officially left Mariotti Yachts in Genoa last month, and her new owners are reported to be the Omani royal family. She is also reported to be a possible replacement for the 136m Bremer Vulkan support vessel used to shadow 155m Al Said.
