Leading yacht charter company, Southern Cross Blue Cruising (SCBC) have announced plans for the upcoming 34th annual Marmaris Yacht Charter Show in Turkey. With dates announced for the 7th to 11th May 2015, the show will again be held at the Marmaris International Yacht Club – MIYC, and SCBC will again be attending.
Dave Stanley of SCBC and Bodrum Yacht Services (BYS) commented, “We have been attending the show with our own boat(s) for over 10 years, and with one particular boat – the Southern Cross Timer. Last year we had two boats of our own at the show: the 35m Queen of Karia and the 24m Why Not II. Our third boat, the 18m Southern Cross Timer, was already on charter so did not attend.
Both Dave Stanley and Dina Street of SCBC and BYS will be attending the event, as Dave added, “Though this year both of us will be there as usual, probably with both Queen and Why Not, Southern Cross Timer will be on charter again so will not be present.”
SCBC is also working on the events for the show this year including a new approach to the famous chef cook-off competition. Dave explained, “Dina and myself have previously been on the committee and this year are involved in a consultancy role to Cem Boz (the main organiser) advising on exposure and show events. As well as the usual opening ceremony held in the old castle, cocktail evenings and private agent lunches and dinners aboard the yachts, we are working on a new approach to the chef cook off competition, hopefully involving some TV coverage.”
