Perini Navi has announced that its 70m sailing superyacht Sybaris has departed the shipyard for the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show.
As one of the largest sailing yachts in the world, Sybaris was one of the most anticipated launches of the season, emerging from the Group’s Italian yard back in April 2016.
She was designed and built by Perini Navi in collaboration with Philippe Briand, which undertook her naval architecture and exterior design, and PH Design Studio, which created her interior styling.
She is the second largest Perini Navi sailing yacht to date, offering spacious interior and exterior spaces, including an expansive 30m-guest area on the main deck, with 4m-wide sliding door that allows easy communication from the cockpit to the main saloon.
The 18m flybridge provides large exterior dining and entertainment spaces for guests, with room to sunbathe and relax.
A performance-oriented ketch, she is equipped with carbon fibre spars and Carbo-Link rigging provided by Rondal. Her sail plan spans more than 3,000sqm.
She is the first Perini Navi to feature three variable-speed generators, and while under power by her twin MTU 1440kW diesel engines, she is able to reach a top speed of 17.5 knots.
Sybaris will be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show between 28th September and 1st October.
