Abeking & Rasmussen launch 72.5m Cloudbreak

Abeking & Rasmussen has launched its new 72.5m explorer superyacht, Cloudbreak. Designed as an explorer yacht by Espen Oeino, it is named after a world-renowned surfing location off the Pacific Island of Fiji. She will soon undergo her sea trials before being delivered to her owner in May.

The German-made superyacht has a high-volume interior created by Paris-based interior designer Christian Liaigre, with Espen Oeino responsible for the strong, bold exterior design. The interior furnishings were selected by the PH.D design house. 

Abeking & Rasmussen commented on the new build, “With a gross tonnage of more than 2,200 tonnes, it is clear that the internal volume specification for this project will make the vessel one of the most substantial global explorer yachts of its kind.” 

SuperYachts Monaco secured the project and oversaw the entire build process on behalf of the owner. Cloudbreaker is expected to be available for charter following her delivery to the owner later this year.
