Since being christened in an elaborate ceremony held by her owners in April, Hampshire II, a brand-new 78.5 metre motor yacht by Feadship, has finally been launched with the addition of a mast construction.
Hampshire II’s owner is understood to have a genuine passion for action and sports, which is why she had been designed to be “full of adventure” for her owner and guests, says the Feadship Royal Dutch Shipyard.
Her features include a helicopter landing platform which can be transformed into a basketball, tennis, baseball, badminton and football playing field. There is a giant net around the deck so that the ball doesn’t get lost at sea.
An unusual feature of Hampshire II’s bespoke design is its split-level design “which maximises the volume and outdoor space,” says Feadship, “and offers panoramic views high above the water.”
Another of Hampshire II’s unique features for the truly adventurous is a zip wire connected to the mast for abseiling at high speed from the crow’s nest down to the water.
The superyacht’s action-packed environment also includes a beach club finished in a driftwood style, two platforms that open up on either side of the yacht, and a swimming ladder which hydraulically descends from the stern.
These features have been crafted into an overall contemporary design by Redman Whitely Dixon, both on Hampshire II’s interior and exterior.
