AMELS announces sale of new 67m superyacht

Dutch shipyard AMELS has announced the sale of its 67m superyacht, the AMELS 212.

Part of the yacht builder’s Limited Editions range, the 212 has been customised to include an extended main deck aft and large beach club. Exterior design was designed by Tim Heywood, with interiors due to be created by Andrew Winch.

The owner, represented by Antoine Larricq of Fraser Yachts Monaco, is said to be a long-standing client of Fraser Yachts and his purchase of the 212 is Larricq’s second AMELS sale in the last year.

VF Yachts, the in-house project management division of Fraser Yachts, will now undertake the project management of the vessel, working closely with the owner and AMELS to finalise the design and prepare her for delivery in 2019.

Larricq commented, “I am extremely proud to have signed another new construction project with AMELS. The shipyard has proven its ability to adapt the 65m Limited Editions to the client’s wishes, with a shorter building time and an extended transom accommodating a beach club with spa area.

Rose Damen, sales manager at AMELS also said, “This sale highlights the enduring value and top quality of AMELS Limited Editions yachts. With the proven naval architecture and engineering already in place, we can start steel-cutting straight away and she will be delivered in less than three years.”
