Aston Martin powerboat makes US debut

The Aston Martin AM37 powerboat has made its US debut at Yachts Miami Beach, having first been premiered at last year’s Monaco Yacht Show.

According to Marek Reichman of Aston Martin, the AM37 day cruiser is a “breath of fresh air”, able to carry up to eight passengers. The tender was built in the UK as part of a collaboration with Quintessence Yachts.

The vessel features a unique sliding deck and on-board computer technology to allow the cockpit to be covered, protecting guests from the elements. The deck features three carbon panels, operated by a key to fold them under the aft deck, covering the cockpit.

There is also an electro-hydraulic carbon fibre bimini top stowed above the engine hatch, as well as a swim platform which extends from the aft deck. Guests can spend the night on board, as the table can be converted into a double bed. There is also a refrigerator, microwave, espresso machine and toilet available on board.
