AvA Yachts unveils renderings of latest Kando superyachts

Turkish yard AvA Yachts has released renderings of the latest superyachts in its Kando series, which ranges from 27 metres (89 feet) to 40 metres (131 feet) in length.

Among the new models is the 34-metre (112-foot) Kando 110, which is currently under construction and expected to launch later this year.

An aluminium-over-steel tri-deck displacement yacht, Kando 110 features plentiful guest accommodation – she offers five cabins, with the master suite boasting 27 square metres of private space – and is expected to be capable of a top speed of 14 knots.

An in-house design by naval architect Atilla Kucukdiker, Kando 110’s interiors are contemporary and modern, with accents of American walnut, wenge and stainless steel.

She will make her debut at Cannes Yacht Festival in September after being delivered to her Norwegian owner.

The series also comprises the smaller Kando 90 and the larger Kando 120 and Kando 130. According to the yard, all of the models have garnered significant interest from potential owners.

The series has been developed by AvA Yachts to offer large internal volumes and spend extended periods of time at sea.

“AvA Yachts wanted to develop the Kando range because it saw that size range as being somewhat under-represented with contemporary-styled, full-displacement, steel-hulled, large-volume, long-range cruising yachts. AvA Yachts is able to offer a superlative quality product in a fast delivery timeframe at prices which are massively more attractive than anything comparable from Italy or Holland,” said the yard in a statement.

The boats will be distinguishable by a modern look that incorporates floor-to-ceiling windows and bold, masculine lines. They are built with steel hulls and aluminium superstructures, with a bulbous bow for efficiency savings. The stainless steel fittings and the interior carpentry are produced in-house at the yard’s Antalya-based facility.

The yard will announce a production and office expansion programme in the coming months to cater for the interest in the Kando series.
