Award winning Dometic Marine product on show at METS

The new Dometic 7100 Series MasterFlush® macerator toilet which won the 2013 IBEX Innovation Award for Mechanical Systems at this year’s IBEX in Louisville, Kentucky, USA, developed by marine sanitation specialist Dometic Marine, will be shown at METS from 19th to 21st November for the first time on Stands 01.615 and 01.713 in Hall 1 in Amsterdam RAI.

The Dometic 7100 Series features the innovative ORBIT (omnidirectional rotating base installation technology) engineering, which allows the base of the toilet to be rotated to any degree in relation to the bowl. After the award was announced, Pete Robson, an IBEX judge commented, “Dometic has come up with a smart solution to fitting a marine toilet into today’s multi-angled small space heads.”

The unique ORBIT design element offers many benefits to OEMs as it results in a limitless floor plan and plumbing configurations. According to Dometic Marine, it will also add value to vessels where it is specified, as owners and users will appreciate the flexible configuration and comfortable design and welcome the benefits associated with the improved efficiency and economical usage.

On launching the new macerator toilet, Ned Trigg, senior vice president of Global Marine Sales said, “We have designed and engineered the Dometic 7100 Series with ORBIT design in response to the smaller sailboat market where entry-level pricing and compact size and efficiency is demanded. This new toilet will appeal to OEMs and designers due to its small foot-print and installation flexibility. Users will appreciate the familiarity and convenience of the residential-styling and boat owners will like the economical use of water and power.”

He continued, “We are thrilled that the IBEX judges have recognized the advanced design and engineering of the 7100 Series MasterFlush toilet – a cost-effective, highly efficient, electric macerator marine toilet for sailboats and pleasure crafts.”
