Dutch refit specialist Balk Shipyard has launched the 31m yacht Sandalphon, previously known as Project Gisele.
Gisele has undergone extensive interior and exterior work, and as well as being lengthened, she has spent two years being refitted.
The owner transferred the yacht to the Dutch yard in 2015 to modernise and rebalance the yacht’s design. Extended by four metres to 31m, she is able to reach a maximum speed of 14.5 knots, and a comfortable cruising speed of 12 knots.
Azure Yacht Design handled the interior and exterior redesign, turning Sandalphon into a sturdy yet elegant explorer yacht with top-deck panoramic views.
The explorer yacht also has a bar and lounge area on the top deck, and multiple water toys are stored on board for guests to enjoy.
Her German owner stated simply, “Sandalphon has turned into an elegant explorer.”
Sandalphon was launched on 20th April, her delivery is due around the end of May / beginning of June after commissioning and sea trials.
