Finnish shipyard Baltic Yachts, has launched its newest sailing superyacht, the Baltic 130 Custom.
Launched at a ceremony in Jakobstad last week, the Baltic 130 measures 39.6m, and was first announced in August 2014. Baltic Yachts describes her as having a “focus on comfortable cruising combined with high performance and low weight.”
According to reports, the yacht was created from a carbon-fibre sandwich construction. She features exterior and interior design by Italian studio Nauta Design, with naval architecture completed by U.S studio Reichel-Pugh. Baltic Yachts revealed that the new owner is a “passionate regatta sailor”, whose wishes were for the 130 to feature a plumb bow and wide stern, combined with a flush deck.
Baltic Yachts published a time-lapse video last month as the retractable keel of the 130 was fitted. Another retractable feature on board is her auxiliary propulsion system. On board, the layout of the 130 features five cabins: one master suite forward, an additional guest cabin, three crew cabins, a saloon and galley kitchen.
