Barcelona Crew move their recruitment services near to Marina Port Vell

Barcelona Crew, a leading crew agent dedicated to recruitment in the superyacht industry, has announced a move to new offices close to Marina Port Vell in the Port of Barcelona, granting better access to captains and crew working on board superyachts the marina.

Marina Port Vell has recently undergone a multi-million Euro transformation now making it one of the most exclusive marinas in the city. 

With 148 berths for yachts up to 120 metres, the marina will be home to some of the largest and most luxurious superyachts in the world. Barcelona Crew will take up residence next to the five-star facilities of the marina, placing them at the heart of the industry. 

Mayte Bruquera, managing director of Barcelona Crew commented, “We are moving in order to meet the needs of our clients; the captains and crew working within the industry.”

Following a successful 2014, Barcelona Crew has expanded its operations into crew training with Mayte now teaching students on a post-graduate course for nautical tourism in Spain – the first of it’s kind in the country to focus purely solely on luxury yachts and cruise ships.

The course, designed and managed by EUM Tecnocampus and UPF University of Barcelona, commenced in Barcelona this month, while 2015 will see further exciting projects for Barcelona Crew in crew training for new and existing recruits in this exciting industry.

Barcelona Crew is the first agency in Barcelona dedicated to providing customised services in the recruitment of qualified personnel for the tourism, hospitality, cruise and leisure yacht industries. The business is also part of the prestigious Barcelona Clúster Nàutic.

The business is licensed and certified in accordance with the UK MCA, the International Maritime Labour Organisation MLC 2006 and the Merchant Marine.
