Benetti unveils Diamond 145’, its new 44m flagship

Italian shipyard Benetti has announced its latest flagship Diamond 145’, a 44-metre (145-foot) superyacht in the company’s Class product line.

She boasts exterior and naval architecture by luxury yacht designer Giorgio Cassetta, a long-standing collaborator of Benetti.

Diamond 145’ will feature high bulwarks and a long reverse sheer line for safe and comfortable cruising, while maintaining the power and stability found in Benetti’s other Class displacement yachts.

“The distribution of the settings and layout is based on meticulous optimization of the available space,” Cassetta stated in a recent release. “My team and I have researched each detail for three years to create a yacht that is both extremely luxurious and immediately practical.”

London-based designer Achille Salvagni will be responsible for the interior of Diamond 145’, which will be accessed by two spacious stairways located on the main deck to stern. Guests will find a large main saloon and fully glazed main lounge with seating areas and a formal dining arrangement.

A forward-facing, full-beam master suite, complete with study and en-suite bathroom will also be located on the main deck. On the lower deck will be four double staterooms – allowing for 10 overnight guests.

For further accommodation, Benetti has proposed the idea of replacing the captain’s cabin with a fifth guest cabin located on the upper deck.

Moving outside, there will be a beach club space and a large outdoor zone on the upper deck where guests will have access to a lounge and open piloting area, along with a large bow area. Reported as the ‘largest on the market’, the bow area measures 70 square metres, hosting large sunpads and a custom pool.

Power will come from twin 1,400hp MAN engines, resulting in a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots. Diamond Class vessels will have a bluewater range of 3,800 nautical miles.

Benetti debuted two new yacht designs in addition to the Diamond 145’ at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2018.
