Benetti’s largest ever superyacht being prepared for launch

The largest superyacht ever built by Italian yard Benetti – the 107-metre (351-foot) FB 277 – has exited the shed in preparation for her launch.

The project, which is scheduled to be delivered in 2019, has now been transported to the floating dry dock ahead of her launch on 18^th December.

Further details regarding the yacht were announced at an event held at Benetti’s facility in Livorno.

The first of three in-build Benetti boats exceeding 100 metres, she has a beam of 15.2 metres and a draught of 4.5 metres. Upon delivery next year she will boast a white finish.

Benetti and Pierluigi Ausonio are responsible for the naval architecture, while Benetti’s in-house designers have overseen the exterior and interior design.

The FB 277 comprises a full-displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure, and can achieve a top speed of 18.5 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots. Displacement at full load will stand at 3,300GT.

The yard disclosed that FB 277’s build process has been project managed by Imperial Yachts. Benetti also revealed that the remaining in-build 100-plus-metre yachts are due to launch next year.
