Bering Yachts launches new luxury motor yacht

Bering Yachts, a luxury yacht builder based in Turkey, has announced the launch of luxury yacht Bering 70, which represents the first hull in the Bering Yachtship Series.

Designed from the keep up, Bering 70 has been created for coastal cruising. She features an easily recognisable hull shape and profile, reflecting an atypical motor yacht style.

Bering 70 boasts a reverse-raked bow, rarely seen on luxury yachts of this size. The absence of a large overhanging bow will mean less buoyancy to create lift when making contact with an approaching wave. This in turn leads to a hull designed to ‘slice through’ waves as opposed to riding up and over, to create a smoother ride according to Bering Yachts.

Created with a shallow draft of 4.5’, and with a displacement of 132,000 pounds, Bering 70 is capable of carrying 1,000 gallons of fuel, allowing her to cruise for 2,500 nm.

Her preliminary sea trials are scheduled from 14th to 19th September in Antalya, Turkey, during which, Bering Yachts will gather all performance data ready for her completion in November 2015.
