Swiss technology company C SEED has introduced one of the marine industry’s first fully retractable, ultra-large LCD TVs, designed specifically for superyachts.
The C SEED Supermarine 201/144 TV and accompanying Supermarine speakers have been officially launched, boasting a custom hydraulic-drive system that allows both pieces of equipment to deploy and retract into a shallow 31-inch compartment in the deck.
Using a combination of vertical and horizontal drives, the 201-inch/144-inch screens deploy and retract into a small space-saving compartment, making it easy to set up and pack away a contemporary outdoor-entertainment centre.
Taking just 15 seconds for the screens to rise to an impressive height of 3 metres (9.8-foot), the LED panels then begin to unfold to present an ultra-large screen that delivers a quality picture, even in glaring sunshine.
Completing the outdoor media set-up, the C SEED Supermarine speakers are designed to provide perfect sound, ascending alongside the Supermarine screens. C SEED’s passive speaker technology is built into one-piece metal casings, precision-machined out of massive blocks of aluminium, with sensitive parts made of stainless steel to ensure durability on board.
