Cala Del Forte Marina purchased by S.M.I.P

On Tuesday 6th December 2016, the Cozzi Parodi group, presided by Beatrice Parodi, sold 100% of the shares of Cala del Forte (owner of the concession in Ventimiglia (IM), Italy) to the Société Monégasque Internationale Portuaire (S.M.I.P) – a subsidiary of the Société d’Exploitation des Ports de Monaco.

The town of Ventimiglia and the Liguria region made the agreement possible thanks to the approval of a variation on the original project in order to accommodate yachts of larger dimensions and more adapted to current demands in the yachting sector.

The new owners of Cala del Forte intend to promptly recommence construction of the marina, possibly as early as January 2017.

The port infrastructure should be fully operational for the summer of 2018, whilst the on-land infrastructure should be delivered in 2019.

The new layout shall accommodate 171 berths from 6.5m up to 60 meters, approximately 400 parking spots, 3,800m2 of commercial office space and a shipyard.

Simultaneously to the completion of the marina, a certain number of urban works will take place around the port. The works will include an upgrade of the water and waste system, paving of roads, landscaping as well as the creation of an elevator that shall link the Marina with the old town.
