Canados issues construction update on third 120 Caesar

Italian yard Canados has revealed that construction on the third hull in its 120 Caesar series is well underway, with the superstructure and hull now having been joined.

Due to launch in April 2019, the 37-metre (121-foot) yacht was returned to the completion shed once the five tonne Kevlar/Aramat superstructure was fitted. The yacht will then be ready for painting before the end of next year.

It comes after the yard announced that the third Canados 120 Caesar – which has already been sold – was decked in July.

The shipyard’s in-house team designed the exterior of the yacht while the interior was styled by Cristiano Gatto.

In place of the usual tender garage, the owner opted to feature a large beach club for sunbathing and entertaining, while the vessel will also have a heavy-duty tender lift with a 1.5-tonne capacity.

Indoor living spaces will feature floor-to-ceiling, main-deck side glass walls and a raised pilothouse. This will allow navigation, monitoring and communication from one place on board.

The yacht will also feature elements of marble and wood, chosen specifically by the owner. The saloon will boast oversized windows that will look out onto the ocean, while Italian designer Boffi will design the custom-made galley.

Accommodation is for ten guests across five cabins, with the owner’s suite, which features two fold-out terraces, located on the main deck and the four guest suites on the lower deck.

Powered by two MTU 16V 2000 M96L 2,600hp engines, the 120 Caesar will be able to reach a top speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 23 knots.
