In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
CJR Fabrication has been awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification by Lloyds Register. This latest development follows previous statements relating to CJR’s half million pound investment in new technology and updated business systems within the fabrication business. The process was completed in just six weeks and also included approval for ‘Module H’ of the Recreational Craft Directive 94/25/EC, which relates to the fabrication of diesel fuel tanks to CE standards.
Michelle Davies, general manager for CJR Fabrication commented, “In order to produce the finest products and become a highly valued partner to the most prestigious names in the industry, we have to be meeting the highest quality standards and achieving ISO 9001 in such a short timeframe is testament to our commitment to that goal.”
ISO 9001:2008 defines the essential steps required to develop a suitable quality management system, able to meet the needs and expectations of both customers and other interested parties and is based on internationally recognised quality management principles set out by the International Standards Organisation (ISO). At the heart of the standard is a quality policy and set of systems that tie together CJR’s business objectives and its customer expectations.
Mark Russell, group managing director for CJR Fabrication commented “Regardless of whether it relates to project management, manufacturing or customer service, the processes we have in place ensure that we are constantly reviewing and improving our customer experience. If we feel a new piece of equipment, software or training will improve our offering and provide greater value, we want to have it because we want to be the best. When this approach is embedded across the business, everyone understands the impact of their actions and you can create a really engaging environment where every member of the team knows how important they are and wants to drive improvements.”
CJR Fabrication was established in February this year, following the acquisition of all assets relating to fabrication business Oval Stainless. Since then, key equipment has been commissioned and production has moved to a larger, purpose built facility in the local area. The existing, highly experienced Oval Stainless team was also retained and has joined the CJR family as part of CJR Fabrication. As a result, CJR has seen a record rise in orders and new business across the board, substantiating the business’ investment strategy and positioning CJR Fabrication as the most advanced and efficient provider of fabricated metalwork.
