Columbus Yachts to unveil new Oceanic Series at Monaco Yacht Show

Columbus Yachts, a brand of the Palumbo Group, is set to launch the Oceanic Series range during this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, 23rd to 26^th September, at stand QE14.

Developed in close collaboration with Studio Vafiadis, the first yacht in the series, 70m Columbus Sport Oceanic 70, was first introduced at the Monaco Yacht Show 2014, and is currently in construction ready for this year’s show.

Giuseppe Palumbo, CEO of the Palumbo Group said, “We have brought our shipping knowledge to yacht building and created some stunning collections under the Columbus Yachts brand.

“The new 70m Columbus Oceanic, which is currently under construction in Naples Shipyard, has been created in a tight collaboration with Studio Vafiadis and will represent an additional line, a forward oriented, fresh and dynamic cutting-edge stylistic approach to propose to new clients.

“As in all our Columbus Yachts line, the environmentally friendly studies had an important impact on design as well as in the project. Columbus Oceanic Series is in fact designed to have the hybrid propulsion option among many other environmentally friendly features. The sea is something we need to respect and preserve for future generations.”

The Columbus Oceanic Series has been designed in partnership with George Vafiadis and his son Stefano Inglese Vafiadis. The new line includes a 50-metre model, and 55m, 60m, 65m, 70m and 75m versions.
