Construction specialist Phil Taylor joins MPE Interiors

A construction industry specialist with over 40 years’ experience has joined MPE Interiors.

Phil Taylor, aged 59, will help drive MPE's wide-ranging work in three main sectors: maritime, commercial property and residential property. The business can fit-out ferries, ships, superyachts, offices, shops, restaurants, hotels, homes, schools and leisure centres.

Its services include bespoke CAD-aided interior design, the manufacture and fitting of furniture, fittings and upholstery; craft joinery, decorating, property maintenance and repairs.

Phil Taylor, whose new title is general manager said, “Old Bidston Road-based MPE Interiors is marketing its services at contractors who build and renovate vessels and properties. It has recently expanded its joinery service, drawing on its maritime work where it has to meet stringent standards and health-and-safety laws.”

His appointment will further strengthen MPE’s portfolio of design and building services. He has extensive experience in managing new-build housing, commercial and public-sector developments, including company offices, housing estates and hospitals. He has also led a wide range of refurbishment and redevelopment projects.

Phil has held key building site and managerial roles with local and national property companies in the UK, including various directorships. He also ran his own property business for 20 years, working on projects of all types and sizes.

Phil commented further, “I plan to use my many years of production and site-based experience to help expand MPE’s property work.  We provide clients with the whole property service - from the ground to the roof, and everything inside. We also have plans for future new-build projects where we can provide full design and build facilities."

Over the years he has worked for regional and national construction firms on developments including new-build family homes, one-off prestige homes and office developments.
