Dometic Marine announces annual sales and service award winners at METS 2014

The winners of the 2014 Dometic International Marine Excellence (DIME) Awards for distributors and dealers were announced by HVAC and sanitation specialist Dometic Marine at this year’s METS.

Held annually in order to recognise and appreciate sales performance and customer service, the DIME Awards were presented at a special ceremony opened by Julin Lefeuvew, head of marine OEM – EMEA, Dometic.

Awards are based on sales of the company’s premium brands, which include Condaria, Cruisair, Marine Air, Sea Land and WAECO, as well as the company’s own Dometic brand.

There are four categories in the 2014 Awards - Sales Platinum, Sales Gold, Sales Silver and a Service Award. This year a total of three Sales Platinum, 16 Sales Gold and 17 Silver Sales Awards were presented and 11 companies were recognised with a Service Award. 

Notable achievements include The Order of the Year award for the largest placed order in 2014, presented to Serguei Kilmenko from Standarte, Dometic Marine’s well-established Russian distributor of its Marine Air and Cruisair products.

Three companies also collected the highest accolade of a Sales Platinum award: Seabreeze Industries (Australia), Heinen & Hopman Engineering BV (Holland) and Acastimar (Spain).

On announcing the award winners, Julien Lefeuvre said, “I am delighted to honour these outstanding companies who have all excelled this year and overcome the challenges presented by a slowly-improving economic picture which has affected the global boating industry. They have shown commitment and dedication to supplying problem-solving products, backed by high quality customer service.
