In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
Superyacht Dream has become the 37th largest superyacht in the world following the completion of her decade-long refit at Greek yard Chalkis Shipyards S.A.
Originally launched by Turkish shipyard Halic Tersaneleri in 1997, Dream has been extended by 13 metres to measure 106 metres (348 feet) and has been transformed into a luxurious six-deck vessel – with interior outfitting completed by Ciarmoli Queda Studio (CQS).
The conversion, designed by Giorgio Vafiadis, first began in 2008 and was originally due to be finished by 2011. The appointment of architecture firm CQS subsequently prolonged the refit by five years, with the aim of streamlining Dream’s shape and creating a more modern aesthetic.
Her interior offers 23 guest cabins, three formal dining rooms, a business centre, a wellness centre and two bars. CQS implemented a nautical theme within the design, which combines white marble, light-coloured woods, Grecian murals and white leathers to create an elegant and classical environment. The crew quarters can house up to 28 members of staff to ensure every guest is well catered for.
Dream is the largest superyacht to fly the Maltese flag, with owner George Procopiou believing it is a well-respected flag within the maritime industry. John Gauci Maistre, maritime consultant for the owner, commented, “When you have a yacht of a certain calibre and owned by a certain owner, automatically the standard of the flag is raised among influential people, and the more of this type of owner we have, the more others are attracted to come to register their yachts in Malta.”
It has not been revealed whether Dream will be made available for charter.
