DYT Yacht Transport (DYT) has recently filled the decks of its 556 ft Super Servant 4 and 686 ft Yacht Express semi-submersible ships, with 39 luxury yachts worth approximately 350 million dollars.
The double shipment set sail on the 22nd May and is not yet due to dock in Genoa and Taranto, Italy and Palma de Mallorca, Spain, until the second week in June.
DYT commented, “April through to June is the prime time for yachts to take the journey across the pond in order to reach the Mediterranean’s cruising grounds in time for peak season there.”
“DYT Yacht Transport is proud to have a smooth double ship operation in Port Everglades, Florida just in time for the peak summer charter season in the Mediterranean. Our professional and experienced loading crew worked around the clock for three days to ensure safe and efficient loading of 39 prized yacht cargo.”
This latest haul used “semi-submersible” ships, engineered for yacht transport. The carriers partly submerge to enable yacht captains to dock their vessels on board. After ballast is removed and the carriers float higher, the yachts are secured into supports for their journey, working in a “floating dry-dock” type manner.
Since 1987, DYT Transport has delivered a total of 13,150 yachts to worldwide destinations and has developed a reputation of the world's premier provider of global boat shipping and logistic solutions. With its own fleet of dedicated yacht carriers, DYT provides top quality marine transport and reliable scheduling throughout the year.
