easyboats introduces unique 36-guest charter superyacht to Mallorca

Mallorca will soon welcome a 31-metre luxury superyacht capable of hosting an incredible 36 guests for day charter. New to easyboat’s portfolio for the 2015 season, ‘Queen South’ is a fully-legal charter boat that, according to easyboats, will plug a gap that has existed in the market for decades.

Lorenzo Vila, director of easyboats said, “It’s impossible to overlook the importance of Queen South’s arrival to the Balearics.  By definition a charter boat can only accommodate 12 passengers, regardless of its size, but this 31-metre holds a transportation licence which allows this figure to shoot up to 36 guests plus a crew of five.  While this regulation only applies to day charter - it’s a maximum of 12 for overnight stays - it still opens endless doors for corporate entertainment, special family celebrations or indeed royalty and celebrities with large entourages.”

“Up until now, and that’s 25 years of trading, all we could suggest was a low-budget mass-market catamaran or to charter multiple vessels at the same time. In order to enjoy comfort and luxury, the second option was really the only option.  We’ve handled a corporate ‘jolly’ for the same British client several years running and charter four or five boats for the 26 to 30 guests, cruising as a flotilla from bay to bay.  It works well, but not as well as having all guests on one boat - not to mention the cost savings involved in chartering one boat over five. I know this British client will jump at the chance to reserve Queen South, as will many more large groups.”

Operating out of Club de Mar in Palma de Mallorca, Queen South is an Italian-design flybridge Versilcraft 100. Experiencing a full refit in 2009, she has four cabins to include a full-beam en-suite master, a full-beam en-suite VIP, an en-suite twin, and an en-suite fourth cabin with three single beds and a double – ideal for younger members of the family.  To ensure fun at sea, she has two tenders, a jetski, scooter and waterski and snorkelling equipment.

Prices start from 14,400 euros per day and from 69,500 euros for the week.
