Fincantieri Yachts releases first details of Griffin Series

Italian yard Fincantieri Yachts released the first details of a new collection of motor yachts, the Griffin Series, at the 2018 Singapore Yacht Show earlier this month.

The new range will be available in 66-metre (216.5-foot), 77-metre (252.6-foot), 88-metre (288.7-foot) and 99-metre (324.8-foot) models.

Griffin 66, the smallest of the range, was developed in collaboration with Christopher Seymour Designs, Castleman International and Guido De Groot Design. A teaser video released by the yard showcases her flowing exterior lines, and confirms the inclusion of three on-board spa pools and a foredeck helipad.

The new 66m project features a 12.3-metre beam, a maximum draught of 3.8 metres and a total interior volume of 1,575GT. On-board accommodation will be for up to 12 guests across six cabins, while the crew quarters will allow for up to 15 staff.

The engine installation has not yet been disclosed, but the hull has been designed around a top speed of 17 knots and the tender garage is large enough to store an eight-metre RIB.

Fincantieri added that the Griffin range is being developed by a dedicated in-house team to demonstrate that the yard is not focussed solely on yachts over 100 metres.
