Italian yard Sanlorenzo has confirmed the launch of its first SL78 motoryacht.
The 24m yacht is the first model in the Sanlorenzo SL78 range, and features a fibreglass planing hull, with Sanlorenzo’s trademark exterior styling, completed by Officina Italiana Design.
According to reports, the SL78 shares a number of design features with the Sanlorenzo SL86. These standout features on board the SL78 include a floating staircase linking the main and upper deck, and cutaway bulwarks, which allow large amounts of sunlight to filter into floor-to-ceiling windows in the saloon. According to Sanlorenzo, there are also ‘class-leading levels of space’, with a transom garage for a tender.
On board, accommodation is available for eight guests across a master suite, VIP cabin and two twin rooms. In terms of staff, there is room available for two crew members on board.
The SL78 is powered by two 1,520hp MTY diesel engines, and there are currently three other SL78 hulls in build at the Italian yard’s Ameglia facility.
Sanlorenzo has a number of projects currently under construction, including an explorer yacht series, the 460EXP, of which two hulls have been launched and a further three sold. Sanlorenzo is also planning to launch a new, compact explorer yacht next year, named SX88.
