Franck Darnet reveals first interior pictures of Ocea X47 concept

French Designer Franck Darnet has revealed the first renderings of his interior design for Ocea Yachts' superyacht concept, X47.

First revealed in 2015, this 47m features exterior styling by Michel Joubert and Bernard Nivelt, with an aluminium hull and superstructure to Bureau Veritas standards.

The new interior renderings show a clean, modern décor, with light woodwork and white furnishings. She offers an open-plan lounge area with two large L-shaped sofas and occasional chairs. Further forward is a formal dining area for up to 10 guests, with large square windows either side of the space providing plenty of natural sunlight.

There is accommodation for 12 guests on board, split between six cabins, including a main-deck master suite, two double cabins, two twin cabins and two single cabins on the lower deck, all of which are equipped with en-suite bathrooms and LCD televisions. Crew accommodation is in place for a staff of 11.

Outside, there are two large aft decks and a spacious sundeck. Her layouts are to a custom design, and can be modified to suit a client’s wishes.

Twin 1,300hp Caterpillar engines power the Ocea X47, giving her a top speed of 17 knots and a maximum range of 4,000nm at a cruising speed of 15 knots.

Other yachts currently under development at the French shipyard include the Oceanemo range of explorer yachts, designed in collaboration with Fulvio de Simoni.
