Fuelstar Spain celebrates record trading year

Following the round up of its 2015 trading year, FuelStar Spain has announced its most successful year to date, serving more than 160 vessels.

Working out of Palma de Mallorca since March 2013, FuelStar Spain provides marine fuel tank cleaning and maintenance services to the world’s yachting and shipping industries.  

Owned and operated by business partners Miguel Tore and Adrian Sas, who together have more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, FuelStar has announced that over half of the 160 vessels serviced throughout 2015 were superyachts, including some of the world’s most impressive vessels.

2015 saw the business attend to Delta Marine’s 73.2m M/Y Laurel, as well as Royal Huisman’s 90m S/Y Athenas, which is currently the second largest sailing yacht in the world. Aboard Athenas, FuelStar Spain performed full detailing services, cleaning both her fuel tank and upholstery.

Miguel said, “An ongoing growth has been happening since we started the business back in 2013, largely thanks to the trust that our clients have put in us. Their preference for our work has meant that we have been able to expand and invest in new equipment, including a brand new tank truck. We just couldn’t be happier with our results to date.”

According to the business, FuelStar Spain has a busy schedule in place for 2016, with more jobs arranged on board superyachts. They will be showcasing at the Palma Superyacht Show in April, and urge captains and chief engineers to contact them in order to arrange a fuel tank check and clean before the beginning of the Mediterranean season.
