Starting at the Antigua Charter Yacht Show, Acquafilms and Roddy Grimes-Graeme Photography are about to embark on a full season of charter films, racing productions and still shoots within the superyacht industry.
Based at the nexus of the Caribbean’s yachting season in Falmouth, Antigua, the multimedia shoots are booked on behalf of yacht owners, brokers, race teams, regatta organisers and sponsors.
The 2014 season began early in October with a still photography shoot of the 50m Westport Aquavita for Northrop and Johnson, and continues in December with the Antiqua Charter Yacht Show where Acquafilms and Roddy Grimes-Grame Photography will showcase new drone filming capabilities.
The regatta season kicks off in January with the Superyacht Challenge, followed by the RORC Caribbean 600 in February, the Bucket in March and Classics and Antigua Sailing Week in April. In between will be a collection of charter photography shoots before starting over again in the Northern Latitudes for the summer season.
Roddy of Roddy Grimes-Grame Photography said, “The variety of jobs, from charter promotion, to racing films and TV productions, and the mix of still and film is what keeps us fresh and interested. We never get the chance to look at projects the same way twice and this leads to constant evolution. This is what leads to our high standard of work and to many repeat customers.”
