Garroni Design, a team of designers, architects and engineers, has been nominated for the International Yacht & Aviation Award (IY&A) 2016, for the modern ocean range motor-sailing yacht Margot.
Luxury yacht Margot is able to sail in all weather conditions and is set to compete in the over 30m sailing yacht category at the IY&A Award. Due to be built in Poland, Margot features a high strength hull and deck, designed with welded steel for maximum resistance for the highest operational reliability. Welded aluminium is used for her superstructures and flying bridge deck to reduce weight in sheltered areas.
Margot’s interiors have been designed to create a spacious feel and can accommodate guests in four en-suite cabins with queen size berths, all positioned on the lower deck. The yacht also boasts a private bar, cinema/entertainment lounge and dining area.
The awards are hosted by design et al, a leading UK interior design magazine and last year held the awards ceremony in Hotel Cipriani, Venice. Details of this year’s ceremony are yet to be announced.
