General Coating a well-developed and respected name within the marine and industrial coating industries is preparing for the future by making numerous forward-thinking announcements to take the company to the next level.
Firstly as part of establishing General Coating in a leadership position in the marketplace and helping them expand quickly into the exterior yacht coating market, George Balmforth was appointed as yacht painting operations manager to develop and support the growth of the company. George was a new build/refit project manager in Hamburg and Barcelona for Pinmar S.L for six years before making the move to General Coating for the next step in his career.
With an innovative spirit, General Coating was founded in 2001 and has increased its array of services during the course of the past 13 years to be at the forefront of both interior and exterior needs, from interior corrosion protection in tanks and engine rooms through the spectrum to filling and fairing and top coating superstructures and hulls. General Coating has had an impressive growth over the years with large European companies continually re contracting their services for new or longer term contracts. They are presently working with two of the largest and most prestigious shipyards in Europe on long term contracts.
George Balmforth, yacht painting operations manager at General Coatings said to Yachting Pages Media Group, “Relationships with ship yards and contracting companies are key to us, and we strive to make sure all angles are covered and that all parties are left happy. Alot of effort is put into learning from mistakes made and using it to progress stronger next time round.“
Along with the appointment of George and as the company continues to grow, a brand new company image has been developed to plan for the future:
George also commented on the big rebrand by saying, "So far we have been growing steadily, and have been very successful within two or three major shipyards, but we felt it was now time to really get our name out there in the market, and put a professional image on the service we provide. We have the manpower and know how, but we lacked the company identity so a rebrand was the next logical step for growth."
