In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
Global sailing apparel brand Gill has announced the appointment of Jamie Tunnicliffe as its new CEO, and Ian Poore as finance director.
According to Gill, these appointments form part of its management expansion and growth plans; the appointment of Tunnicliffe also comes after managing director John Deverill announced his retirement from Gill after almost two decades.
Gill revealed that Tunnicliffe has extensive international experience within the Sporting Goods sector, and spent 16 years at both Nike and Adidas Group working in various commercial areas. He also recently held an executive position at luxury British retail brand John Smedley, delivering “substantial global sales growth and overseeing the successful expansion of its ecommerce operation.”
Ian Poore has over 25 years’ experience working in finance, with a considerable part of this spent in the clothing sector. According to Gill, Poore also has a “high level of consumer-facing commercial expertise, and a pedigree of delivering strong sales growth, particularly in ecommerce.”
Tunnicliffe commented, “This is an exciting time to join Gill. For 19 years, John Deverill has led Gill to be the consistent, profitable business it is today. The platform is now set for Gill to achieve significant international expansion, to have a compelling online presence, and ultimately to become the leading technical sailing apparel brand in the world.”
Paul Cannings, director at YFM Equity Partners also commented, “YFM has worked closely with John and the team over the last two years to put in place the building blocks to support the company’s international growth aspirations. We wish John well in the future and are looking forward to working with the newly expanded management team of Jamie, Ian, Bryan Stewart and Matt Clark, to realise the brand’s full potential.”
