Heesen’s move comes after a rise in demand for superyachts in the Middle East, with Dubai-based BehneMar now acting as the yard’s agent in United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Bahrain, State of Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman, State of Qatar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Lebanese Republic.
BehneMar is one of the Gulf’s leading luxury yacht consultants, with offices in Dubai and Saudi Arabia, as well as a European presence in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
The agent will be working with Heesen to promote the brand and assist the shipyard in the design, construction and launch of one-of-a-kind vessels.
In a recent release, Heesen commented, “We are very enthusiastic about this new partnership in the Middle East and very much looking forward to working with the BehneMar team on exciting new projects. Beirut Boat 2018 is our first joint commercial effort in the region and our first step together on the path of a fruitful collaboration.”
Hisham Abushakra, executive director of BehneMar, added, “BehneMar is looking forward to a fruitful cooperation with Heesen as we notice an increasing demand of Middle Eastern-based clients for Heesen’s iconic yachts in the 50 to 70 metre range.”
