On 12th December 2014, prestigious Dutch shipyard, Heesen Yachts announced the launch of project YN 16947, a 47m displacement yacht.
Scheduled for delivery next month, the motor yacht was christened ‘Asya’ by her new owners.
With a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, Asya’s exterior is designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects and combines traditional lines with a contemporary flair that is emphasised by the continuous glued glass and matching black paintwork. She has a twin-screw propulsion system.
With a distinct interior designed by multi-award winning studio Bannenberg & Rowell, the interior is Far Eastern with a restful feel, inspired by the designs of Dieter Rams, Frank Lloyd-Wright and Tadao Ado.
An important role is played by the use of light as concealed LED light strips and filtered light thanks to refined venetian blinds creating a unique atmosphere on board this striking vessel.
Using simplicity as the ultimate form of sophistication as the guiding principal for the interior design, silver-grey oiled oak, mid-gloss lacquer, silk and bronze are contrasted with dark Maskassar ebony and polished stainless steel detailing and accents.
The hull accommodates up to 12 guests on board.
