Yacht management company, Hill Robinson, has announced the appointment of Kevin Laverty as senior project manager. Kevin will be responsible for new build and major refit projects, working alongside director Karl Hartmann.
Kevin commented, "I am excited to be joining Hill Robinson at what is a very busy time for the projects team, and I am looking forward to the challenges ahead."
Kevin began his career as an engineering apprentice with a major offshore fabrication contractor. In the years to follow, he worked in offshore oil and gas construction, marine engineering, shipbuilding and port equipment - always in a project management role. He has worked exclusively in the large luxury yacht sector since 2004 and is, according to Hill Robinson, recognised for handling complex projects.
Karl Hartmann added, "It’s a great asset to have Kevin on the team and we look forward to working together on the various new build and refit projects. He’s bringing a wealth of experience which will be reflected in the projects and clients’ satisfaction."
Kevin has acted as an owner’s representative for a number of significant new build projects and refits, and is a full member of the Association for Project Management (APM). Additionally, Kevin has acted as an independent expert witness in arbitration and high court proceedings concerning yacht construction and yacht valuation disputes.
