Horizon Yachts first CC115 sold to owner in Mexico

Horizon Yachts has signed an order with a Mexican client for the build of its first CC115 superyacht, for delivery in 2018. Dutch yacht designer Cor D. Rover is designing the exterior and details of the GRP M/Y.

The M/Y will have spaces optimised to accommodate the client’s large family and give them an array of activities. As such, a large Hi-Lo swim platform at the stern for a sea plane and for easily launching superyacht tenders and toys is being considered, as well as a family theatre on the foredeck.

Horizon Yachts are working closely with the client in order to meet their specific lifestyle requirements; a news announcement on the Horizon website explained that the CC115 will be heavily customised for the client, who has “an abundance of knowledge and experience in both engineering and yachting” whilst channelling Horizon’s own design principles.

The CC115 follows the recently delivered CC150 yacht Abaco as the next instalment of the Horizon custom collection.

Horizon Yachts CEO John Lu said “We are very pleased these new owners selected Horizon to build their customised superyacht. It is a great testament to our strength and capabilities as a luxury yacht manufacturer, and it is exciting to partner again with Cor on this project. His expertise as a super yacht designer, combined with the unique visions of this experienced owner and our proven build quality ensure this new Horizon CC115 will be nothing short of magnificent.”
