Huisman Etech Experts completes successful trade mission

Huisman Etech Experts has announced that it has completed a successful trade mission to Italy this April in a bid to strengthen ties between Italy and the Netherlands.

Working to continually improve quality and relationships in the yachting sector, Huisman Etech Experts visited six renowned shipyards at the heart of the Italian yachting industry, including Tankoa Yachts, Fincantieri Yachts, Baglietto Yachts, Viareggio Super Yachts and Perini Navi. 

According to Rob Huisman, co-owner and director of Huisman Etech Experts, this is the second time that the Holland Yachting Group has organised a trade mission to Italy, having previously hosted a successful trip in 2012.

He said, “The trade mission started off with a network dinner organised by the Dutch Embassy of Rome. Many Italian shipyards, as well as yachting-related companies followed the invitation to meet Huisman Etech, along with six other Dutch subcontractors to exchange their visions on the future of Dutch-Italian collaboration in the industry. 

“The evening was filled with lively discussion of likeminded managers, focused on new builds and refits of yachts. Visits to Italian shipyards and meetings with technical managers were then used to exchange the latest technologies and lay the groundwork for possible alliances.”

The last day of Huisman's trade mission was spent at SEATEC and the YARE Trade Show where Huisman along with two other Dutch subcontractors met with captains, chief engineers and yacht managers.

According to Huisman Etech Experts, the week was a great success for all involved, with hopes now turning to the Dutch Superyacht Suppliers Tour in May 2016 to further strengthen relationships.
