A new, innovative cleaning solution from Cool Clean has recently been introduced in the South of France, offering yachts and superyachts a simple, eco-friendly option when it comes to cleaning. Cool Clean is now offering solutions which include: dry ice and soda blasting, high pressure cleaning as well as other blasting techniques.
Andre van Dijk, owner and founder of Cool Clean, commented, “Dry ice and soda blasting is new here in the south of France and I think we are the only company that is offering these services. I recently went to Port Pierre Canto, where I did some dock walking in order to talk to captains on the products I am offering. As soon as I managed to get a few minutes of their time to explain what I am offering and the benefits of what I can provide, they were really interested and wanted more information.”
Benefits of dry ice blasting include: it produces no waste products; it is eco-friendly, non-conductive, chemically inert, non-poisonous, nonabrasive and non-flammable. See below for a video on the technology provided by Cool Clean. Another service provided by Cool Clean is soda blasting, which offers a more eco-friendly and gentler solution to sand blasting.
According to Cool Clean’s website, “Sand is a hard, heavy material that can wreak havoc on any substrate. It will pit glass, tear up rubber and plastic, and etch metal. Soda blasting has none of that.”
Andre continued, “The foundations of the company come from when I discovered an article in a boating magazine about how eco-friendly and nonabrasive dry ice and soda blasting are, but this service was not available at any shipyard in the south of France. The philosophy behind the company is to offer the right cleaning or blasting solution at the right price, no matter if it is your yacht, house, villa, swimming pool, car, industrial product, and so on.”
