Invictus Yacht and Anna Fendi collaborate on new Special Edition

Invictus Yacht and Anna Fendi have joined together on a “confidential project” which will see them create a Special Edition of one of the yard’s top models. 

With further details set to be revealed during an exclusive event in Milan on 23^rd March 2018, few particulars of the project have been publicised. It is known that the exterior design and naval architecture will come from Christian Grand, while Anna Fendi will undertake the yacht’s interior décor.

In a recent report, Invictus Yacht shared that the venture arose from a “common desire” to create a boat able to reflect the vast experience of Christian Grande, “one of the most highly quoted Italian yacht designers”, and that of Anna Fendi, “stylist and entrepreneur, famous for her professional and personal creativity.” 

The partnership is reported to have come about when Fendi saw Grande sketching the lines for a design in his notebook, pulling them into a conversation and the idea of collaboration.

Grande said, “Anna and I both share a deep love for details and we are always searching for beauty, in all its forms and manifestations. She has a tremendous experience in the language of colour – this, combined with my knowledge of the yachting world, created a mutual understanding, binding, connecting and amplifying our cultural backgrounds. This project represents a third way forward, different from what we would have achieved separately.”

Thorough research for materials and contrasting colours characterise the “mini superyacht’s” interior design, which will be a tribute to the thrill and style of long overseas voyages of yesteryear, with a choice of special furnishings unique to the yachting world.

Fendi explained, “In decorating this yacht I started thinking of travel as a concept, and I was inspired by old steamer trunks in parchment and Bulgarian leather.

“Following a precise colour scheme and using materials not usually found in the yachting world, I tried to decorate this little seaborne jewel in a very special way and with a strong personality. I’ve always adored yachts of this size, they have an intrinsic sense of proportion, with an intimate and adventurous feel. With Christian we tried to study every single detail and create something beautiful and very functional.”
