JFA Yachts has announced that their fast-cruising catamaran WindQuest has been selected as a finalist in the Internatonal Superyacht Society Design Awards under the category of Sail 24-40m. The ISS Design Awards is due to be held on Wednesday 29th October in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Designed by Marc Lombard, WindQuest was delivered in May 2014 and is the first in JFA Yachts’ semi-custom “Long Island” series, with hulls aluminum-built while the deck is in composite material.
WindQuest can accommodate up to eight guests and four crew. The main cabin stretches across the full beam of the yacht and offers a superb 180° view, something never seen before on a sailing or even on a motor yacht of this size.
WindQuest made her maiden voyage in southern Brittany, sailing along the coasts of the English Channel and of the Atlantic between London and Lisbon, before heading for the West Indies in October.
This superyacht is available for charter and is scheduled to be in Europe and the West Indies for the first two years, before heading to North America, the Great Lakes and the West Indies the for her third year.
This 85ft catamaran offers space and performance like a 100ft to 110ft mono-hull but with a reduced draught, more comfort and increased stability.
