Jones Boat Yard (JBY), the oldest continuously operating shipyard in South Florida, has won the International Superyacht Society (ISS) Design & Leadership Award for “Best Refit” in the 2014 season.
Awarded for the work on motor yacht Dream, the honour was presented to Mr. Cliff DeFreitas during a black-tie ceremony at the 2014 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Mr. Jose Bared, an owner of JBY, was subsequently presented the trophy by his management team. He commented, “This is a testament to the quality of our work as well as our team of subcontractors. We all share in the deserved accolades, but the fact remains that we always do award-winning work, regardless of whether we get a trophy for it or not. That is the nature of the business we run here in Miami.
“Jones Boat Yard looks forward to continuing the same quality of repair and refit in all future projects, large and small.”
Strategically located on the historic Miami River, Jones Boat Yard sits seconds away from Miami International Airport.
