Kleven’s new explorer yacht has technical launch

Following the successful launch of the 107m M/Y, Ulysses by Norwegian shipyard Kleven, its newest explorer yacht, 370, has had her technical launch in a ceremony attended by New Zealand based owner, Graeme Hart and his family.

The second yacht to be commissioned by Hart, the 370 is nearly 10m longer than Ulysses, and has also been designed by Marin Teknikk, but in collaboration with Kyle Dick, of Oscar Mike Naval Architects. Prior to launching, her three hull sections of 370 were transported to Ulsteinvik, having been constructed by CIG shipbuilding in Poland.

Due to be delivered in July this year, she has an 18m beam and will be able to accommodate 66 people. She displays input from various suppliers, including luxury manufacturer Rolls-Royce, electronics specialists Hareid Group and maritime specialist Jets and Sperre.

According to a statement from Kleven, the 370 is “specially designed for long expeditions in rough waters, and blends a robust, hard-working character with luxurious added extras.”
