Kleven’s Ulysses yacht delivered to owner

Norwegian shipyard Kleven’s explorer yacht Ulysses has been delivered to her owner and is now cruising in the Western Mediterranean around Palma de Mallorca, Spain. 

She had previously left Germany just over two weeks ago, having arrived there for her final outfitting. Measuring 107m long, Ulysses is the first private superyacht build by Kleven, a brand usually known for its commercial vessels, and was announced in March 2013.

In December, when Ulysses was undergoing her final outfitting, Kleven described the intention of Ulysses as blending “a robust, hard-working character with luxurious added extras.” Able to accommodate seven guests over five cabins, she offers a functional deck layout and large aft facing decks, with interior designed by H2 Yacht Design. Ulysses also features a 21m tender U-21, driven by quad-engines and propelled by four water-jets. She also features a dedicated helicopter hangar on the bridge deck aft.

Henning Dörries commented on the company’s collaboration with H2 Yacht Design and the challenge of completing the work on schedule. “The cooperation with the owner’s team was great and without any big problems. The short timeline did not make it easier, but the extraordinary work of the owner’s team, who also managed the works at Kleven in Norway, made it possible.”
