Launch of State of Grace

The Perini Navi Group, a world leader in the design and production of sailing and motor yachts has recently celebrated the launch of State of Grace, the first yacht in their 40M Fast Cruising series, at the Perini Navi Istanbul/Yildiz shipyard.

Following the 88m clipper The Maltese Falcon, this is the second Perini Navi yacht to have been constructed entirely at the Group’s Istanbul shipyard.

State of Grace superyacht, designed in-house by Perini Navi’s naval architects in collaboration with

New Zealander Ron Holland, has sleek lines and both hull and superstructure in aluminium.

The Perini Navi Group explained, “With 220 tons displacement, this yacht is sure to perform brilliantly in all sailing conditions.  The 1,192 sq mt sail plan can be handled by just one person thanks to an innovative sail control system.”

State of Grace has a 50m mast, furling boom and standing rigging made with carbon fibre materials and laminated sails.

The main saloon is on two levels with dining room and an ample living area. The yacht’s four cabins, including a full beam owner’s suite with a gym, have innovative layouts and can accommodate up to nine guests.

In the transom area, which can be reached from the staircase, a hydraulically controlled platform gives direct access to the sea and a 5.5m tender is stored in a semi-recessed well to keep the yacht’s lines sleek.

The interior design and layout are the work of Perini Navi interior designers.

Meanwhile, at the Perini Navi Istanbul-Yildiz shipyard, work on the first yacht in the 70m series, scheduled for 2015, is proceeding well and the third yacht in the 60m series could be ready in the next two years.

This year, the Perini Navi Group will launch the first yacht in their 60m series as well as the 73m motor yacht from the Picchiotti Vitruvius® series.
