Wilsonhalligan Large Yacht Recruitment and BachmannHR Group have announced a new working alliance, which will also be both companies’ first venture in France. The firms will open a shared office in Antibes, France, on June 1st to focus primarily on yacht recruitment.
The companies’ new premises will be located at 5 Avenue Paul Arene. The venue is located at the heart of Antibes’ yachting district and just 50m from local ‘yachting community institution’ the Blue Lady pub.
According to wilsonhalligan Large Yacht Recruitment and BachmannHR Group, the new offices will be “run by experienced individuals who will be available to register and interview candidates as well as offer career prospects and advice on how to find the most suitable position for them within the yachting industry.”
The businesses’ decision to expand into France is part of a careful and well-calculated plan, said Nick Saul, CEO of BachmannHR Group: “It is very exciting and represents a further step in our strong, strategic growth.”
BachmannHR Group is the largest provider of marine employment solutions in Europe. It currently manages the employment of over 20,000 mariners, yacht crew and oil and gas workers and oversees more than US$1 billion in payroll each year.
“The opening of the office in Antibes, together with an alliance with wilsonhalligan, will enable us to accelerate what we can offer the yachting world by passing on the experience we have gained over 30 years within the commercial shipping sector,” said Nick Saul.
“I am especially delighted to be working with the highly-regarded wilsonhalligan, and in particular Terry Wilson whom I have known for over 20 years.”
The merger was first suggested by BachmannHR, said Terry Wilson, Director of wilsonhalligan: “We have been looking to open our first office in mainland Europe for some time with Antibes being a favoured location,” he said.
“We are delighted to become a part of its iconic name, world renowned as an ever-present haven to the yachts. The approach from BachmannHR to form this alliance in south of France, fits well with our own plans to continue our year-on-year growth for the balanced expansion of the wilsonhalligan organisation.
“Whilst both companies will maintain their independent status, we are keen to work with BachmannHR, in Antibes. They are a well-respected organisation with a quickly-growing involvement and reputation in the yacht world.
“Both companies want to develop a lasting relationship for their mutual benefit and that of our local candidates, clients and the yachting community.”
