Lynx Yachts launches a new deluxe “shadow vessel” with spa and basketball court

Dutch shipyard Lynx Yachts has launched its new YXT 24 Evolution “shadow vessel”, which is the fourth boat of its type be built by the firm – but the first of this particular model.

The YXT 24 has been constructed for an American entrepreneur, who originally purchased her in May 2017. The owner requested a bespoke design to cater to his passion for action and adventure on the seven seas.

Exterior design on the superyacht support boat comes from Bernd Weel, with naval architecture courtesy of Diana Yacht Design. The luxurious, custom-detailed interiors are by Darnet Design, who were able to include large storage options for equipment, tenders and toys as part of the layout.

In addition, the new addition to Lynx Yachts’ fleet has a spacious lazarette, accessible from the swim platform, and 75 square metres of open deck space. The owner’s personal Land Rover Defender also has its own bay on board, allowing for land-based expeditions as well as maritime ones.

Filippo Rossi, sales and marketing manager at Lynx Yachts, said, “It has been a pleasure to work with this client. His passion for yachting and for the sea is infectious. He knows exactly how he wants to use his YXT and this has helped us to adapt the vessel for him.” 

Key features – for owner and guest comfort – include a spa, gym and fitness area (plus a basketball court). There’s also a helipad, laundry facilities and accommodation for up to three guests in a double cabin with Pullman bed. There is space for four crewmembers.

The YXT 24 will be powered by twin 850hp C12.9 Caterpillar diesel engines for a maximum speed of 13 knots.
