Marina Cap Cana prepares for children’s fishing tournament

After a hugely successful visit to the 2015 Miami Boat Show, Marina Cap Cana, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, has announced the launch of a children’s fishing tournament, to be named ‘Kids Gone Fishing’.

Found on some of the most fruitful fishing grounds, Marina Cap Cana is a luxury superyacht destination, well known for its world-class marina facilities, also hosting some of the best fishing tournaments in the world,  including 'The White Marlin Classic' and 'Cap Cana Classic'.

Right now the marina is preparing for “Kids Gone Fishing”, a family friendly competition to be be held on 4th April 2015. The event will see children ranging from six to 18 years of age welcomed to join a fun day of outdoor fishing and activities.

Before the tournament commences, the participants will attend a ‘fishing clinic’ which will teach the young competitors about the fishing equipment required, and the aims and rules of the competition, including the types of fish that they are fishing for.

Considered to be among one of the best destinations in the world for fishing and deep-water diving, Marina Cap Cana welcomes hundreds of yachts and their crew year-on-year to enjoy not only the beautiful weather, but the teaming waters, and 2015 looks to be no different
